Description: That work is the part of the "The "Layers of Identity" collection. That reflects the journey through four distinct phases that people often face during social or personal immigration. Each phase represents a part of the transformation process, carrying a dual nature—showing how the same experience can lead to different results based on one’s attitude, goals, and actions. The collection consists of four key phases: Cave, Coat, Chain, and Contour—each representing a unique challenge or step that individuals encounter along their path to self-discovery and adaptation.
Coat:
A coat is typically seen as a layer of protection from the outside world, shielding us from external challenges. For me, it represents the layers we shed to uncover our true selves. As we peel away these layers, we start to understand our past experiences and what they bring to our present.
Through these phases, I share stories—my own and those of others—capturing how identity is continuously shaped by both internal reflections and external circumstances.
